Spanish Essay for Germany

Essay One

My name is Shiva and I am 17 years old.

I was born in India and when I was fifteen, I moved to England due to my parents job.

When I first came, I realised how different living in India and living in England is: culture is different, society is different…

But the biggest problem I faced was the language.

I had never studied English before, so I didn´t understand a word.

The first day at school was horrible. I was lost and no one talked to me, so I was alone too.

During the following days, I realised that my partners avoided me and laughed at me.

First months were horrible for me. I started understanding some words, and I knew that people of my age were all the time talking about my skin colour and about my bidi (the red circle I have on my forehead).

But everything changed one day. When I got to the high school, I saw a pamphlet where it was said that there was going to be a trip to the mountains for 5 days.

I first thought that it would be horrible, but then my parents convinced me to go.

Just after arriving to the mountains, we started to pack all the food and drinks.

But ten minutes later, we saw some foxes with rests of food on their mouths.

So we had ran out of food and it was the first day.

However, I wasn´t nervous. When I lived in India, I used to go to the mountains with my family, so I knew pretty well how to get food and water.

I started searching for some fruit and then I found a river. When the rest of the people

realized what I was doing, they wanted to know how to do the same and asked me to give them some advice.

It was an awesome trip!

After coming back home, I wasn´t alone anymore. My classmates who had gone to the trip with me sat next to me at the playground and thanks to that, I started having friends.

They explained to me that at the begining, they thought I would be different just because of my appearance.

Therefore, we realize that we are all different (culture, language, thoughts…) but at the same time, we are all equal, because we are all people

Essay Two

Hello my name is Mohamed and this is my history.

I was born in Egypt where I grown until I was 14. At that age me and my family moved to Poland because my father found a ell paid job there.

When I arrived to Poland I feel alone: the weather the culture… all was different.

To be honest what made me feel very bad was that I had no friends, first of all I didn´t know the language so I decide to study all day and night till I learned it.

But when I tried to speak with my classmates they fled from me. Also I could hear them insulting e or calling me terrorist only because I had another culture (I´m muslim) and another skin color.

All days when I arrived home after school I went into my bed and started cry.

But all that changes one day that our physical education teacher told us to play a football match, sport that I used to play in Egypt. So I started to play and score goals, my teammates were playing with me like I was one of them and at this moment I feel that there weren´tany differences between them and I.

When the match finished we won and my teammates started talking with me, their minds had changed and they realized I wasn´t a terrorist only a 14 years old kid like them.

Nowadays I have made a lot of new friends and when someone new comes to our high school I try that he or she don’t feel alone like me.

Because in spite of all we are different al we have feelings.
